If you have seen your dog or cat playing with a snake, dead or alive, please call your vet.

The dog or cat may not be showing any symptoms but a vet can do tests to see if they have any toxin in their system, or the vet can identify the snake (if you have it) and decide whether it is venomous or not.

Once a dog or cat is weak, wobbly, passing dark urine, unable to rise, having difficultly walking, vomiting etc. the chance to save them decreases.
