Caroline Spelta

Equine Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Anaesthetics and Colic.
Caroline graduated with honours in 2001 from the University of Queensland. She joined us as a new graduate and is now an experienced general practitioner with extensive interests in gastrointestinal, endocrine and ophthalmic disorders.
Caroline achieved her membership in Equine Medicine with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2006 and is currently in a fellowship training program to become a registered specialist in Equine Medicine. She lectured at the 2003 AVA national conference on Equine Cushings disease and has a particular interest in geriatric medicine and endocrine disorders. Caroline performs the majority of anaesthetics at Townsville Vet Clinic and has a special interest in high risk/colic anaesthetics.
Caroline is also an adjunct lecturer at James Cook University and involved in the teaching of 4th and 5th Year Bachelor of Veterinary Science Students.
