1. Part-time Small Animal Vet:

For 2 to 3 days per week. A couple of years experience of working with small animals would be very beneficial.The work consists of all smalll animal procedures and surgery. Ideal for the vet that wants to combine a professional career with family duties.

2.  Equine Nurse for Breeding Season (September ' 10 ' - March '11)

Townsville  Veterinary Clinic requires an Equine nurse to work in our reproduction facility for the 2010 – 2011 breeding season, which runs from September until March. Duties include assisting with mare and stallion examinations, preparation of laboratory equipment for semen assessment and processing, preparation of mares for embryo transfer, record keeping and communication with clients and studs supplying semen. The duties are wide ranging and require a considerable level of organization. Experience with horse handling is mandatory and stallion handling experience in a breeding situation is highly desirable.
