John graduated from the University of Queensland in 1972 after completing a Diploma in Agriculture at Gatton College, graduating in 1965. He joined Bruce Pott and Don Glasgow in 1976 as one of the founding partners to build and develop this clinic.
John is also a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists after gaining the post-graduate qualification in Small Animal Surgery in 1991. John has much experience on and off the polo crosse field with horses, but now concentrates on small animal orthopedics and surgery.
John has retired from hectic duties at the clinic and is seen these days in a visiting consulting role.
His spare time is taken up playing golf and sailing.
